I use a wide variety of different techniques to make my jewellery, this gives each piece a unique design which separates it from mass produced pieces found in most high streets.

Keum-boo (Korean "attached gold")
Keum-boo is an ancient Korean gilding technique used to apply thin sheets of gold foil to silver. I use fine silver (.999 pure silver) and 24-carat gold foil that is applied with heat and pressure - mechanical gilding - to produce a permanent diffusion bond.

Enamel is a form of glass; metal oxides determine colour. Enamel has been fused to metal for at least 4,000 years. Transparent or opaque enamel is applied to a metal base and fired in a very hot kiln.
